Writing a book is a dream many people have, but few follow through with. At 18, I embarked on this journey, and while it was far from easy, the experience taught me discipline, perseverance, and the power of storytelling. Here’s how I did it. One of the biggest challenges I faced was self-doubt. I constantly questioned whether my writing was good enough or if anyone would even want to read my book. To combat this, I reminded myself that every successful author once started as a beginner. Seeking feedback from friends, teachers, and online writing communities helped me refine my work and gain confidence.
Writing the first draft was only the beginning. I spent months editing, rewriting, and refining my manuscript. At times, it felt frustrating, but I learned that writing is rewriting. Each revision made my book stronger, and working with beta readers provided invaluable feedback.
For the end, I wan to tell that the funny thing is the book I have first published is not the book I have worte at 18 age. Yes, that book I still keep for better times. Will tell you about my first published book in my next post.
